Peak Member Spotlight: Greg Bremhorst

Greg Bremhorst

At Pivotal Advisors, we believe the best learning often comes from the people in the room. The Peak Member Spotlight is a monthly feature that highlights leaders in the Peak Alliance community who are doing meaningful work inside their organizations while continuing to grow as leaders.

Our goal is simple. Share the stories of leaders who are navigating real challenges, building strong teams, and pushing their businesses forward.

We’re excited to begin the series with Greg Bremhorst.

Greg is the Director of Heavy Duty Sales at Phillips & Temro Industries, where he leads a team of OEM sales professionals solving thermal and electrical challenges across the commercial vehicle, agriculture, construction, and power generation markets. His role sits at the intersection of technical expertise, strategic sales leadership, and long-term customer partnerships.

Leading Through a Challenging Year

The past year brought plenty of challenges for Greg and his team. Market conditions shifted. Tariffs created uncertainty. Leadership changes required organizations to adjust quickly.

Despite those conditions, Greg remained focused on opportunity.

“Last year was a pretty tough year in terms of market, tariff, and changes in business leadership,” Greg said. “I’m really proud of how the team performed and how focusing on new business opportunities helped us overcome the challenges of the year.”

Rather than slowing down during uncertainty, the team stayed focused on identifying new opportunities and positioning the business for the future.

A Moment That Changed His Perspective

Periods of disruption often create moments of reflection for leaders.

With new senior leadership in place and the business entering another phase of growth, Greg found himself taking a fresh look at how he approaches his role.

“This past year was a year of significant change,” Greg explained. “With the support of a fantastic new leader, I realized I need to continue to evolve as a leader. That realization has reenergized me as we prepare the business for the significant growth we’re working toward.”

For experienced leaders, growth rarely comes from starting over. It comes from continuing to evolve.

Building Momentum for What’s Next

That renewed focus is already translating into progress.

Greg and his team are entering a new phase as the business expands into a rapidly growing adjacent market. The initiative required building internal support, securing investment, and launching new products with the right organizational structure behind them.

“Building the organizational support, capturing the investment, and now launching the team and product is a high point in my career,” Greg said.

As the organization moves in new directions, Greg continues refining how he balances the needs of the business with the success of his team.

“My thinking has changed significantly as the team moves in new directions,” he explained. “Balancing business needs, team success, individual development, and what’s coming next continues to push me as a leader.”

Continuing to Grow as a Sales Leader

Greg has always believed that leadership requires continued development.

When he transitioned from a working manager role into the Director of Sales position, he knew he needed to keep building both management and sales leadership skills. Around that time, he discovered the Peak Alliance.

“When I moved from a working manager role to director of sales, it was clear that both my growth and the success of the business depended on continuing to develop as a leader,” Greg said.

What stood out to him was the structure of the group. Each meeting includes leadership education along with time for members to bring real business challenges to the room. The group works together to process those issues and share perspectives drawn from their own experience.

“Working early to implement the skills learned is key,” Greg explained. “The issue processing and coaching make that easier, and the follow-up in later meetings helps reinforce what you put into practice.”

For Greg, the biggest takeaway is something he often shares with other leaders.

“The key to growing as a leader and improving the business is taking the time to step outside of the business in order to work on the business.”

Looking Ahead

Greg’s focus now is on preparing his organization for its next phase of growth.

He and his team are working to expand their ability to represent core PTI solutions globally while continuing to build momentum in their emerging adjacent market.

It is ambitious work that requires clear strategy, strong leadership, and a team that continues to evolve alongside the business.

Greg has spent his career doing exactly that.

And if the past year is any indication, he and his team are well positioned for what comes next.
